Cordoba

Midway from Sevilla to Madrid

sunny

Dashed to the bus station with 5 minutes to spare for my ride from Sevilla to Cordoba. I´m off with my solo traveling once again. A tad nervous but also excited to begin the rest of my journey around Spain. Cordoba was the a wonderful backdrop for a lowkey day. I got to stroll about the town (pratcially void of other travellers and the noise from the city) and just go about my own time. While the sigts were nice and I certainly got them on ¨film,¨ I wasn´t bothered that the Mezquita was closed. After learning about, seeing and visiting so many Arab-Moorish, Christian, and Jewish architeture and grounds the images were starting to blend; however, the grandjer of the place might have needed an indoor visit, as it really didn´t seem quite so impressive to be called the largest Mosque in Spain. Maybe after seeing the 3rd largest Cathedral (in Sevilla) the muted color and less elaborate etches on the walls of the Mosque just didn´t measure up for me. Regardless, Cordoba was wonderful 1st stop for the last leg of my journey.
